These are extra wide (according to my research) orthopaedic shoes made by Dr. Zen as "Foot Orthotics." They are roomy for comfort and a relief from shoes that bind the foot. See exactly how the unisex sizes are designated in the photograph that shows it. These are secured with a hook & loop closure strap, very adjustable. The insole cushiony pad is meant to be removable. This pair says "7" on the underside on the insert.The outsoles are synthetic and skid resistant. Oddly enough, the shoes and inserts are machine washable, and that is the first thing we did when we acquired them---giving them a good cleaning and sanitizing.
